Youth Classes and Camps at the Red Brick
The Red Brick's mission of creating colorful community starts with the youngest of artists. We offer to bring affordable art into the lives of all Roaring Fork youth. During the school year we have Pre-K Studio and After School Art Camp. During the summer we provide a full lineup of week-long, full-day camps. We invite our young artists to join our community, mixed-age classes as well - Fired Up! and Masterpiece Mine. All of our youth classes and camps are taught by Liz Waters. Visit our Registration page to learn more about getting your children creating art with us at the Red Brick.
Our Summer camps are taught by long-time art educator Liz Waters. Throughout the many week-long day camps we offer, children ages K-5 explore many different themes and mediums including: color, texture, dimension, shape, clay, ceramic, and mosaic. Liz takes them on fun field-trips to explore art in our community.
Have you ever tried paint-your-own pottery? This class is a pottery painting class in which you choose a pre-fired bisqueware piece. For example, you might choose a mug, piggy bank, plate, picture frame, buddah figurine, or small jewelry box and paint it in to your very own masterpiece. In this class you will learn about pottery painting, glazing, and kiln firing. The class is held every Thursday from 4:30 - 6:00. Register Online!
Everyone loves wine, right? This class is a very fun way to explore your inner artist while sipping on a glass of wine. Though wine is served, it's middle school aged and older kid-friendly. In this class you will mimic a painting done by the masters: Picasso, Van Gogh, Goergia O'Keeffe, Matisse, and more. Each week there's a different painting. Teacher, Lorraine Davis will guide you step-by-step towards creating your own Masterpiece!
